The Crown is at the heart of the village of Woolhope, next to the ancient Church of St Georges. We serve great local produce, simply cooked. Our menu is varied. There are rustic, wholesome dishes but also more restaurant style options. New Wave Seafood of Cirencester supply us with day boat Cornish fish for the specials board. Our 3 Counties sourced meat is butchered on site allowing us to serve a great steak selection as well as our varied menu. We cater for coeliacs and most dietary needs,just ask one of the team.
We are open 7 days a week serving a Curry night on Monday night which feature sauces from Rayeesa's Indian Kitchen ( other options are available)which she produces in our kitchen! We also offer a great choice of takeaways from our menu.
The Pub serves over 24 local Ciders and Perries, all from within 12 miles of the Crown including award winning home milled ones. We won Best Cider Pub at the Great British Pub Awards 2015.
There are regular changing guest ales and Wye Valley H.P.A and Ledbury Bitter.
We host monthly special menu nights on the third Thursday of the month, keep an eye on the events page or the black boards on the road. There is a monthly Quiz Night on the second Tuesday of the month starting at 8pm. We host cribbage, Woolhope cricket teams and still have a quoits team. Our cider that was pressed last October has been packaged now and 4 new types are now on draught.
